The General Directorate of New Kabul City says the project to transfer clean water from the Sayad water source to New Kabul City is currently in the assessment and design phase.
According to the plan the water transmission route will be approximately 55 kilometers long.
The directorate says that once completed the Sayad water source could meet around 85% of New Kabul City’s projected annual water needs.
