Karzai: I Strongly Condemn Pakistan’s Airstrikes on Kunar and Paktika

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned Pakistan’s recent airstrikes on Afghanistan’s Kunar and Paktika provinces.

In a post on his X account, Karzai said that a number of Afghans were killed and wounded in the attacks. He expressed his condolences to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

He described the strikes as a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and said Pakistan’s current security problems are the result of its misguided policies toward Afghanistan.

Karzai called on Pakistan to review its policies and pursue a path of good-neighborly relations, stronger ties and civilized engagement with Afghanistan.
