The death toll from an explosion at a mosque inside a police facility in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during Friday prayers has risen to 30, with 75 others reported injured.
According to reports, a vehicle loaded with explosives was driven to the mosque’s entrance and detonated.
Following the explosion, armed men attempted to enter the police facility, leading to an exchange of fire with security forces.
The attack was claimed by the Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen group, which is linked to a faction of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Among those killed were 15 police officers.
