Afghanistan’s Taliban-run Foreign Ministry said it summoned Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires in Kabul and handed him a formal protest over the alleged crossing of armed elements from Pakistan through the Durand Line into Nuristan province.
The ministry said militants linked to Islamic State and other armed groups attempted to cross the Durand Line toward Kamdesh district, allegedly with the direct assistance and guidance of Pakistan’s military.
It said Taliban security forces prevented the group from carrying out its planned activities.
The ministry condemned what it described as Pakistan’s support for the recruitment, training and deployment of armed groups, calling the actions a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

It warned that any continuation of such actions and their consequences would be the responsibility of Pakistan’s military leadership.
