Reuters reports that Iran’s economic crisis currency depreciation high inflation, and lack of job opportunities have forced thousands of Afghan migrants to return to Afghanistan.
According to the report, citing data from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) more than two million Afghans have left Iran over the past two years.
Reuters says that alongside economic difficulties, increasing pressure on Afghan migrants in Iran has also been cited as a factor behind their return to Afghanistan.
