Former Afghan Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar has expressed concern over recent Pakistani airstrikes in parts of Kunar and Helmand provinces citing UNAMA findings on civilian casualties.
According to Atmar, at least 10 civilians mostly children, were killed and nine others injured in the attacks.
He called on the UN Security Council to take urgent action to prevent further escalation and urged international institutions to investigate the reported violations.
