Former Nangarhar governor Ziaulhaq Amarkhil has strongly condemned what he described as Pakistan’s blatant aggression against Afghan territory.

In a post on his X account, Amarkhil questioned why Pakistan had carried out airstrikes on Afghanistan at this time and asked what the main objective of the attacks was.
He added that Pakistan’s objective could be to escalate the conflict, thereby providing Saudi Arabia with an excuse that Pakistan is engaged in a war in Afghanistan and therefore cannot support Saudi Arabia against the Houthis in Yemen.
He warned that a war with Afghanistan would make Pakistan even more insecure and unstable.
