Sohail Afridi Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa says Pakistan’s federal government deliberately sabotaged the Islamabad talks to undermine their protest march and later launch a violent crackdown.
He alleged that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being treated as “second-class citizens” and called on the Pakistani government to ensure the legal humanitarian and medical rights of former Prime Minister and PTI leader Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, in accordance with the country’s laws.
Meanwhile Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi claimed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government derailed the talks at the last moment by backing out of a 72-hour written agreement concerning security, counterterrorism and Afghanistan policy.
