Former Paktia governor and Afghan politician Halem Fidai has called for national unity, political consensus and a common national position in response to internal and external threats facing Afghanistan.
Reacting to Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan territory, Fidai condemned attacks affecting civilians and stressed that Afghanistan’s long-term strength depends on educating its men and women and advancing modern science and technology.
He urged Afghan political figures to set aside differences and work together in the national interest.
