Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned Pakistan’s recent airstrikes on residential areas in Kunar and Helmand provinces.
Karzai said that the strikes killed and injured a number of Afghans, including women and children.

He expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and prayed for paradise for those killed and a speedy recovery for the wounded.
Karzai described the Pakistani military strikes as an aggression against Afghanistan’s territory and a violation of the country’s sovereignty, stressing that Afghans would stand united in defending their homeland against foreign aggression.

Karzai called on Pakistan’s leaders to reconsider their hostile and confrontational policies instead of killing Afghan women and children, refrain from promoting extremism and division, and engage with Afghanistan on the basis of good-neighborly relations and civilized interaction.
