The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has announced that its Contact Group on Afghanistan will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to the organization representatives of the Taliban government will attend the meeting However the exact date and agenda of the meeting have not yet been announced.
Alongside the Afghanistan meeting the OIC is also expected to hold several other contact group meetings and specialized committee sessions on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
