Aircraft fuel prices in Afghanistan rise by nearly $700

Since the beginning of the war in Iran the price of aircraft fuel in Afghanistan has increased significantly.

According to reports the price of a ton of aviation fuel has risen by nearly $700, reaching around $1,750 per ton.

The increase is linked to the ongoing conflict in the region and rising fuel prices in international markets.

Officials from Afghan airlines say the higher fuel costs are putting direct pressure on their operating expenses.

The continued rise in aviation fuel prices could further increase airlines’ costs and may eventually lead to higher airfare prices for passengers.
