According to local sources, a major fire has broken out at the Islam Qala customs facility in Herat province, engulfing fuel and gas tankers.
Afghan firefighters have been dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze.
Reports also indicate that Iranian firefighting teams have arrived to assist in controlling the fire.
