Abdul Rahman Qanit, Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs at Afghanistan’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, met today with Alireza Bikdeli, Iran’s Ambassador to Kabul, along with representatives of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chambers of Commerce and their delegation.
During the meeting, the Iranian side expressed interest in expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in the mining sector.
They highlighted the willingness of Iranian companies and investors to invest in Afghanistan’s mining and petroleum industries and offered support in training, knowledge sharing, and transferring engineering expertise in mineral exploration and extraction.
The Deputy Minister welcomed international investors interested in Afghanistan’s mining sector and assured full cooperation within the framework of the country’s mining laws and regulations.
