North Korean leader Kim Jong-un made a surprise visit to the Chinese city of Dandong crossing the border via the newly opened New Yalu River Bridge.
Chinese state media reported that Wang Huning one of China’s senior leaders met Kim and conveyed greetings from President Xi Jinping.
The visit follows the official opening of the bridge on October 15 marking a step toward strengthening trade and economic ties between Beijing and Pyongyang.
